Who is Andrew Gassmann?

Born and raised in Mississauga, Andrew is a life-long resident of Ward 7 as well as a  family man who is committed to community  building. As a long serving  volunteer and leader, Andrew has been the President of the Cooksville Munden Park Homeowner’s Organization (CMPHO) for the past 15 years. This work earned him a Civic Award of Recognition from the City of Mississauga. Andrew has sat on a variety of City committees, including the City’s Official Master Plan, Cooksville Area Specific Reviews and Secondary Plans, and sits on the Hurontario LRT Corridor Committees.

Experience Matters

Andrew is an alumnus of local Cooksville schools and holds both a BComm and MSc degree.

For more than 25 years, he has worked in the financial services sector, holding senior management roles, with expertise in both project management and management consulting.

A Voice for the Community

As President of the CMPHO Board, Andrew's accomplishments representing members are very significant. Most noteworthy was a long negotiation process with a developer of the Cliffway Plaza site and the desire to build two 30+ story condos, a retirement residence and town homes  on just 6 acres. All this within a community consisting mainly of detached single family homes. As a result of a lot of hard work by Andrew and the Board, the City approved only 50 townhomes. In addition, the Fitness Institute, now known as One Health Club, was saved and remains one of the best athletic facilities in Mississauga.

As your future Ward 7 Councillor, Andrew will....

• Listen to your recommendations to make our community stronger, and keep you informed every step of the way;
• Make your voice heard by advocating on your behalf at city council;
• Protect your tax dollars by asking the right questions and making the right decisions with the city’s budget;

• Bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas to discussions about Mississauga and its future;
• Serve the ward with dedication, energy, accessibility and transparency.
